What are your favorite Front Range ethnic restaurants?

Now that we've disposed of all the blatant commericalism, Joey and I would love to hear about your favorite ethnic eateries in the Denver metro area.

Feel free to post your thoughts and favorites and to sweeten the deal we'll send a free copy of the book to the first one to post about their favorite area eatery (spammers not eligible, unless you're referring to spam musubi).

Right now, I'm holding off until dinner time before heading out to Longmont's Ichiban (2055 S. Ken Pratt Boulevard, Unit A) for either their bargain $12.95 sashimi platter or a steamy and satisfying bowl of sukiyaki.

What are you in the mood for?

UPDATE: I went for the sashimi after all. Along with rice and miso soup, here's what Ichiban's Chef Toyo conjured up tonight:

I'm in Chiang Mai, Thailand for now after living for almost two years in Miami Beach. For quite a while, I've gone without Mexican food. Is that truly ethnic dining in Denver? In any event, I enjoyed periodically going to "Senior Burrito's", around the corner from the Mayan Theater. I loved their smothered burritos. No real ambience, but simple straight-ahead service. That a friend of mine, formerly a Chicano activist, also ate there validated the quality of the food.

Aw, shoot, Peter always wins!

For Mexican, I like the joint next to the post office down here in the Tech Center. It's called Amigos. We also go to El Parral down the street. Love their posole.

For Middle Eastern, we still go to House of Kabob in Denver (the market next to HoK is a lot of fun) once in a while for the best hummus in town, although Sahara in the Tech Center is pretty good too.

We really miss T-Wa Terrace. That was our favorite Vietnamese, and now there is none near here that I know of. Hoong's, again in the Tech Center, is very good for Chinese.

Our favorite German place is Helga's, in Aurora on Sixth near Peoria.

Thai: Thai Basil, Tommy's, Taste of Thailand

Italian: Romano's

Chinese: China Dynasty, Imperial, Sunny China

Japanese: Domo

Vietnamese: J's Noodles

Indian: Little India

Dave and I ate with Alexandre and Vanessa at Domo, and now I think I can die. The food was so good it made me wish I was a professional eating champion like that hot dog kid from Japan. Only, I wouldn't waste my talents on lousy hot dogs, I would spend my time at Domo, and start with plates and plates of the appetizers, followed by the sushi, and then work my way through everything else on the menu.

The German Cuisine and service at Cafe Berlin is outstanding.
323 14th Street,Denver,Co80202.
They offer all the German dishes one can imagine. I used to take a TWA flight from St.Louis to Denver at 4.30 pm.that I would arrive for dinner at Cafe Berlin.
Last week one person had the Roulden , one the Wiener Schnitzel,
one the Huhn,Berliner Art and one the Sauerbraten.
In all the years,we never had a bad meal at Cafe Berlin.

All - Thanks for posting!
Domo, Cafe Berlin, and Ras Kassas are also favorites of Joey and myself, and we feature all of these in The Gyros Journey.
